Emmaus Ferrara in Italy is actively supporting freedom of movement.
The community is hosting Migreurop’s travelling exhibition about migration policy, Moving Beyond Borders, designed by the Étrange Miroir collective, from 25 September to 7 October 2017. The exhibition is made up of five interactive modules and explores the journeys made by migrants, while highlighting the measures which are responsible for their perilous crossing of the Sahara, the Mediterranean Sea and/or the eastern borders of the European Union.
Emmaus Ferrara is also holding a conference on migration on 1 October 2017, entitled Freedom of Movement: a folly, necessity or right?
These events promise to spark plenty of discussion on a topic dear to the Emmaus Movement.
