Dear friends,
The world councilors on Training and New Generations from Europe propose a European formation on the theme of « Emmaus: Europe in all of its facets ». There are among the aims of the training course:
- Familiarize oneself with the Movement’s original founding values.
- Understand how Emmaus developed as an international and European organisation.
- Give new groups an idea about the Movement’s reach.
This training will take place at the Emmaus community of Cologne in Germany.
The chosen period is Tuesday 4th and Wednesday 5th, November 2014. The participants are advised to arrive on Monday 3th November during the afternoon.
The world councilors on Training and New Generations, European trainers, key resource persons from the movement will be present, as well as the leader ant the friends of the community of Cologne.
The Training is addressed to companions, leaders, who desire to reinforce his belonging to the movement by the lived sharing of values, the development of exchanges, knowledge’s and practices of European groups and further than Emmaus, taking it to the civic society, near to politics and institutions, which is the force of our engagement. The three languages of the training are English, French and Spanish, with the assistance of interpreters.
Due to the limited places (15 people) the priority is given to European mixture (representation of a maximum of countries) on the same time being attentive to the plurality of status (companions, volunteers, employees, community leaders).
Lodging and meals are taking place at the community of Cologne, located on the north of the town. The groups are taking charge of the travel expenses to go back and for the place of the training.
