The Elective General Assembly of Emmaus Europe will be held on Monday 13 April 2026 from 10am to 12.30pm in Someren (the Netherlands), on the morning before the opening of the Emmaus International World Assembly. This Assembly will elect the Councillors of Emmaus International (CEI) to represent the Europe region and the Chair of Emmaus Europe.
This unprecedented arrangement harmonises the terms of office of the CEI representing the Europe region with those of other regions: European representatives will now begin their term of office on the Emmaus International Board at the same time as their term on the Regional Council of Emmaus Europe.
European groups registering for the World Assembly will automatically be able to participate in this Emmaus Europe Elective General Assembly. Registration is open until 28 February 2026. Please try to register as soon as possible.
When registering, you must indicate the names of the representatives and the person holding your voting rights in box no. 1 of the voting power/proxy document.
If your group does not wish to participate, please still fill in the Voting power/Proxy form so that another group can vote on your behalf (members may hold two proxies in addition to their own vote). You can either choose a group to vote by proxy for you (box no. 2) or choose the blank proxy (box no. 3) so that the President of Emmaus Europe can allocate the proxy votes and ensure that the quorum is reached.
All groups can take part in the General Assembly, but only full members have voting rights.
In order to vote, all member groups must be up to date with their membership fees to Emmaus Europe since the last General Assembly, i.e. for the years 2023 to 2025 included. Any request for a partial or total waiver, or payment in instalments, must be sent to the Emmaus Europe Treasurer (via eve.poulteau@emmaus-europe.org) by 31 January 2026 at the latest.
⚠️ Important: The voting mandate and proxies of each Assembly are centralised by Emmaus International secretariat. More information can be found in the convening notice of the meeting.

Overproduction has been a crucial issue for Emmaus groups in Europe for several years. Donation points are overflowing, while textile quality, in particular, has dropped drastically, jeopardising the solidarity-based reuse model that we promote and having a devastating effect on the environment and human rights.
